Survay Says! Where We Exist Releasing July 20th

Â Where We Exist, the follow up full-length from NJ Ska Punk band Survay Says, will be released by TTLR on July 20th.Â The album, recorded atÂ the Highland House, isÂ the band’s most personal to date focusing on themes of loss and isolation. However, Survay Says, stillÂ stays true to their two-tone roots and their tongue-in-cheek lyrics and humor.

To promote the release of Where We Exist, Survay Says will be doing a series of shows this weekend. On Friday, Survay Says will be playing the Clinton Community Center inÂ Clinton, NJ, Â if you buy a ticket for the show you get a copy of Where We Exist! On Saturday, Survay Says will be playing the Crocodile Rock in Allentown, PA. The band will finish their series of release shows with a stint at Warp Tour at the Comcast Theater in CT. Everyone here at TTLR is so proud and stoked to finally be able to share with all of you Kids Insane’s video for ”Same Shit, Different Scene.” The animated short is a collaboration between the band and Work Hard, Be Nice that features the music of Kids Insane and the art of Alon Bonder. Kids Insane Sign to Third Time Lucky Rekords

Formed in Tel Aviv, Israel, it was almost natural for the members of Kids Insane to find punk rock. Kids that live in Israel are forced to join the military and serve a mandatory 3 years. Pacifists are thrown in jail if they refuse recruitment. Other kids seek a way out of service through the mental health officer. The band found an outlet in the culture and music of punk. Drawing on the events that surround them in the news, other art forms, and their personal lives, Kids Insane have stripped down hard core and have begun rebuilding one angry brick at a time.

The band’s upcoming debut release, All Over, due out in August, is a punk rock manifesto that questions everything and denies nothing. From start to finish, All Over brings Kids Insane’s message that there is never one truth through the fury and aggressiveness that is in each song.

Third Time Lucky Rekords is excited to welcome Kids Insane into the TTLR family.

Winslow Releases Get Nice

Winslow continues to carry the banner of the Quebec Punk scene with their second full-length “Get Nice,” releasing today (6/6) through Third Time Lucky Rekords. Engineered byDan Bosse, Rene Garcia (The Brains) and Stu McKillop (Daggermouth, Rain City recorders), “Get Nice” has been a jump for the band in terms of production and song writing. The sophmoric release, features songs like “El Suave,” that have been written and performed over the last year but have remained unreleased, as well as more recently written songs like the well-crafted aggressive pop punk anthem “The Cat’s Meow.”

The release of “Get Nice” kicks of Winslow’s Canadian Tour to promote the new album.

Survay Says! Releases First Song from Unreleased Album

If you lived in the northeast last year there is no way you can forget the horrible snow storm we were all slammed with in October. For days you were cold and pissed. “Dear JCP&L I’m tired of This Nonsense,” the new single released from NJ ska/punkers Survay Says!, encapsulates the anxiety and isolation we all felt on those dark days with humor and a two-tone groove.

“Dear JCP&L,” previews the shift Survay makes with this newest album, to be released through Third Time Lucky Rekords on July 20th. The songs on the album tend to focus more on the lives and struggles of the band more so than previous albums, making this album the band’s most personal to date.

Before You Go Sells Out

Last month Welsh punk/emo quartet Forrest released thier debute album Before You Go on Third Time Lucky Rekords. The album was launched as a limited run on cassette tape. Shortly after the release the album sold out completly in Europe. Third Time Lucky Rekords and Forrest plan to rerelease Before You Go on 7 inch, to be distributed both in Europe and the US for Forrest’s July tour.

Still Rings True are releasing naked versions of two new songs today for their European tour. Survay Says Joins the TTLR Family!

Third Time Lucky Rekords is so stoked to announce that Survay Says has signed to TTLR. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the band; Survay Says! is a 7-piece ska/pop punk band from Blairstown, NJ. The band has been making tracks all over the US, playing 100+ shows in 2011. And hit their 200th show in January 2012!

Survay Says has that horn-driven ska sound that fans of ska crave mixed with the high speed energy of pop punk. If there is one word that could sum up an SS! set, that word would be “fun,” and that’s exactly what the band strives for at their shows and on all of their releases.

In October 2010, the band released their 2nd full length album entitled “Well… Here It Is!” independently. Right now, Survay Says is at the Highland House recording what will be their third full length due out mid-summer. The album (title to be announced) will be released through Third Time Lucky Rekords.

Survay Says will be touring all summer including some Warp Tour dates, so make sure to check back with TTLR and Survay Says for tour dates to be announced soon.

Third Time Lucky Rekords Opens Highland House

TTLR was founded to change the way labels work with bands. We wanted to create a label that was art and artist centric. In that spirit, TTLR is proud to announce the opening of its studio- Highland House. Highland House studio and its producer Nick Orr carry the TTLR banner of art over industry.

About

Highland House Studios initially started out as a mobile 8 track studio. We always felt that with the ever increasing technology market that a solid recording was possible in any space. With proper mic techniques and solid performance, ANY musician can attain a high quality product that they can be excited and confident to distribute at shows.

Aesthetics were important when we chose the location in Highland Lakes NJ. As much as we wanted to set up a typical studio environment we didn’t. We wanted musicians to feel as if they were in a home environment. Thus relieving the stresses associated with studio work. We are located in the mountains of NJ about 5 miles from the Mountain Creek

Ski Resort. The Highland House is a great escape from the everday grime that most of are used to. The isolation of the woods is calming and allows most musicians to take care of what they need to do. Create music.

Hailing from South Wales-UK, Forrest is a throw back to the 90’s emo sound (Braid, Texas is the Reason, Mineral)Â with heartfelt honest lyricsÂ and music that punches straight in the gut.

Before You Go, the debut album from Forrest, goes on sale today (4/18/12), as a limited edition cassette and will be exclusively distributed in the US through Third Time Lucky Rekords. The debute brings together elements of short catchy pop punk songs, with the aggressiveness of the post-hardcore/emo sound of the 90’s. Before You Go truly captures the TTLR “This is a Threat” spirit that is found in all of our releases.

Third Time Lucky Rekords Announces Next Up and Comers Release: Eric Moeller and the Strummalongs

Third Time Lucky Rekords is proud announce their second
release from their Up and Comers series. TTLR will be rereleasing Eric Moeller
and the Strummalongsâ 2011 EP Sleepless with a second release due out later
this year.

EM&S have been making a huge name from themselves in
their native St. Louis and sharing the stage with bands like Flatfoot 56, Fake Problems,
AM Taxi, The Hudson Falcons, Dead to Me, Swinginâ Utters, and Continental.The EM&S sound is a draw upon Americana and pulls its influence from Bruce Springsteen, Joe Strummer, The Clash, and The Bouncing Souls. TTLR fell in love
with EM&S after the release of Sleepless. Every song on the album draws
from and is reflective of the Ericâs life in and around the St. Louis area
cutting right to the heart with every lyric and every chord.

Steiner Street, Portland, Maine, has joined the TTLR family and we could not be more
excited to have them. Steiner Street’s debut full length album, Time and Temperature due out April
21st, is a throw-back to that 90’s pop punk sound but maintains the youth angst
in their song writing and lyrics that TTLR is sold by. This will be the first pop punk release from the label since its earliest days. When TTLR got a hold of the Steiner Street’s demos; they knew there was faith in
releasing some pop punk again!

Time and Temperature will be available exclusively through Bull Moose Music on Record
Store Day (April 21st) and will be on other store shelves April
24th.
